Hi! I’m Elise Pino, a freelance indexer and library staff member. My interest in indexing stems from a lifelong love of reading and organizing information. I hold a certificate from Library Juice Academy’s Introduction to Book Indexing course and am a member in good standing of the Indexing Society of Canada.

My approach to indexing starts with a conversation to understand how you want your book represented in its index. I then complete a draft of the index, informed by your vision and my experience. The final stage involves reviewing and editing to ensure your book’s index is exactly how you want it.

If you’ve written a book, I’m open to working with you! My subject expertise is in the humanities. I hold a bachelor’s and master’s degree in English literature and have additionally taken classes on foreign languages, digital humanities, history, folklore, and more.
